Specification

Stage 4 Turbo package is suitable for all models of the Peugeot 208 GTI with an EP6 1.6L 16v Turbo engine. This includes both the 200bhp and 208bhp models.

 

At Pug1Off, we’ve had a lot of experience with hybrid turbos that use the original castings. Although good gains can be achieved, the turbos can be expensive and still produce disappointing torque that falls away too steeply after 4000rpm, especially noticeable in high gears. This kit has been designed to give a wide spread of power, without too much lag, whilst retaining the factory turbine housing fitments to the manifold and downpipe

 

This kit includes:

 

Pug1Off / Turbo Technics Turbo: 

All new K04-based bespoke performance turbocharger (no re-used parts)

  • Large, high-flowing billet aluminium compressor wheel
  • Full-size K04 turbine wheel for excellent power/response balance
  • TT designed an upgraded compressor housing
    •  Bespoke casting design with larger volute/scroll
    • Larger internal aerodynamic design improves efficiency of the large compressor wheel
    • “Anti-surge” ports for a wider flow range
    • Removes restrictive inlet design of OE turbocharger
  • TT designed bespoke turbine housing, incorporating:
    • Increased volute/scroll size for higher maximum flow
    • Pulse converter technology to help low-end response
    • High-flowing internal wastegate design
  • K04-spec journal bearing system for increased durability/reliability
  • TT designed an uprated 360° thrust bearing assembly, to handle increased thrust loading from a higher boost
    • CHRA finely balanced to high specification, on Turbo Technics VSR
    • Turbine end based on standard turbocharger footprint for a drop-in/direct-fit upgrade with fitting kit
  • Capable of well over 300BHP!

Along with the parts above, there are also supporting modifications that are required:

 

Clutch Kit:

Due to the torque increase, your standard clutch will no longer be up to the job. We recommend the Helix organic clutch kit, this can either be run with your standard dual mass flywheel or you can take this opportunity to upgrade to a matching Helix Billet Steel Flywheel. Whether you select the clutch or the clutch and flywheel kit, you will be supplied with new diff seals and a clutch slave cylinder. With the flywheel, you also get a set of ARP flywheel bolts.

 

Conrod Bolts:

These ARP 2000 conrod bolts are a non-stretch high tensile material ideal for high power outputs and extended rev limits where forged rods are not essential. Ultimately providing insurance against stretching and engine failure.

 

Dump Valve: 

An uprated dump valve is required with this package due to the well-known weak diaphragms on the original diverter valve. The GFB replaces plastic valve parts with an anodised billet aluminium housing, fitted with a brass piston machined to exact tolerances enabling the additional boost.

 

Intercooler:

With an extra boost comes greater air temperatures so an uprated intercooler is required for this package. We have designed our bespoke intercooler kit for the Peugeot 208 GTI which will significantly reduce intake air temperatures, increasing the density of the charge and therefore boosting power and torque delivered to the road wheels.

 

Motorsport Oil Feed Pipe:

This oil feed pipe is a PTFE-lined stainless steel braided flexible hose with a crimped stainless steel banjo. It is also wrapped in a silicone fire sleeve with is rated up to 1100 degrees Celsius and is an upgrade to the standard which is prone to leaking once removed.

High-Performance Fuel Cam

Billet high-lift fuel pump cam for 208 - 270bhp models of the EP6 turbo engine (2015 onwards). These engines can suffer drops in fuel rail pressure when remapped / tuned. Simple to replace in under 1 hour & no need for further remapping, this product provides greater fuel delivery to the injector rail. 

5.5mm increases lift/fuel flow by 37.5%
