Hybrid turbo from Turbo Technics suitable for the 1.6L 16v EP6 petrol turbo engines found in all models of the Peugeot 208 GTI (includes the PeugeotSport & 30th edition.)

 

This turbo is based on genuine K03 turbo and the standard exhaust manifold making this turbo externally the same size as the original making this turbo a bolt-on unit.

 

Benefits of this turbo are:

 

  • Billet aluminium compressor wheel, with custom TT profile, and slim hub for high flow
  • Compressor housing re-profiled to suit larger compressor wheel
  • TT designed bespoke turbine housing, incorporating:
  • Increased volute/scroll size

  • Full-size K03 turbine wheel for excellent power/response balance
  • K04-spec journal bearing system for increased durability/reliability
  • TT designed uprated 360° thrust bearing assembly, to handle increased thrust loading from higher boost
  • CHRA finely balanced to high specification, on Turbo Technics VSR.
  • Based on standard turbocharger footprint for a drop-in/direct-fit upgrade

 

In addition to this turbo, there are also supporting modifications / additional parts which you may require:

 

Dump Valve:

 

An uprated dump valve is required with this turbo due to the well-known weak diaphragms on the original diverter valve. The GFB replaces plastic valve parts with an anodised billet aluminium housing, fitted with a brass piston machined to exacting tolerances enabling the additional boost.

 

Front Mount Intercooler:

 

With extra boost comes greater air temperatures so an uprated intercooler is required for this package. We have designed our own bespoke intercooler kit for the Peugeot 208 GTI which will significantly reduce intake air temperatures, increasing the density of the charge and therefore boosting power and torque delivered to the road wheels.

 

Motorsport Oil Feed Pipe: 

 

This oil feed pipe is a PTFE lined stainless steel braded flexible hose with crimped stainless steel banjo’s. It is also wrapped in a silicone fire sleeve with is rated up to 1100 degrees celsius and is an upgrade to the standard which is prone to leaking once removed.

 

These turbos are made to order and carry an estimated dispatch time of 5 to 10 working days.
